Apple Announces Documentary Film “Billie Eilish: The World’s A Little Blurry”

The World’s A Little Blurry, the long-awaited Apple documentary on Billie Eilish will finally hit theatres and Apple TV + in February 2021. The Apple documentary is directed by award-winning filmmaker R.J. Cutler.

Billie Eilish is considered the most successful new wave artist of this generation. At 18 years old, Billie Eilish has a Grammy, a James Bond theme song, and now the singer is getting her own documentary film.

The documentary is expected to feature footage of Eilish on the road in 2019, playing sold-out concerts and massive festivals to millions of adoring fans, as well as capturing some more intimate moments amid the whirlwind experience.

RJ Cutler, best known for singer John Belushi’s eponymous documentary and “The September Issue” which followed Vogue fashion magazine editor Anna Wintour, has directed the Apple Original Films documentary. “The World’s a Little Blurry” is produced by Interscope Films, Darkroom, This Machine and Lighthouse Management & Media.

The five-time Grammy winner’s documentary was first revealed in December 2019, when Apple TV+ acquired the project for a whopping $25 million dollars. 

According to the report, the production team has been working on the film since 2016, and they follow Billie Eilish everywhere to shoot and collect a wide variety of footage, whether for everyday life or around the loop.
